Hyderabad: City-based dialysis services chain Nephroplus on Friday inked an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh government to provide dialysis services at the 13 district-level government hospitals in the State.
Under the agreement, NephroPlus will equip the dialysis units of each of the government hospitals with world-class facilities and experienced professionals. Managed by NephroPlus, the dialysis centres will provide haemodialysis using Japanese technology. They will follow NephroPlus’ proprietary clinical protocols which will help prevent cross infections that have been rampant in sub-standard dialysis centres.
“Access to quality dialysis is still a major cause of concern in our country. In fact, a third of people who are on hemodialysis eventually get infected with a chronic viral disease and succumb to fatalities. We are glad the AP government has come forward to address the situation,” said Vikram Vuppala, CEO & founder, NephroPlus.
The initiative will encourage the public to seek quality and affordable dialysis services, he added. Apart from offering quality treatment, NephroPlus also motivates patients to lead a normal life through initiatives like support group meetings, free dietitian support and various other events.
“These programs provide patients a platform to share their experiences, overcome their inhibitions and boosts their confidence in life,” the company said. The dialysis chain is planning to raise Rs 100 crore for the expansion of its network. At present, the company operates 75 centres across 15 states.
