Hyderabad: The State Bank of India said its Ladies Club, Amaravati Circle, donated certain products to a non-government organisation in Hyderabad on Wednesday.The bank said a fridge, six ceiling fans, 15 LED tube lights and a cupboard was given to Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust, under their CSR activity.

Hannah Rachel Mani, President, SBI Ladies Club, Amaravati Circle said, established in 1945, the NGO was founded by Mahatma Gandhi to address issues pertainingwomen living in the rural part of India.

“The trust of the NGO runs Swadhar, a shelter home for distressed, deserted and destitute women of all ages. Here, they rehabilitate victims of harassments, and provide them with education and vocational skills,” she added.
