Nine killed in road accident

All belong to one family and hail from Medak Tirupati: Nine persons of a family belonging to Medak district died on the spot and a 12-year old girl was grievously injured when a speeding Innova car crashed into another speeding truck at Kukkaladoddi village near Chittoor-Kadapa border on Tuesday. Sreeramulu of Pedda Sankarampet in Medak district was travelling in the car along with his family members including the daughter and son-in-law and other family members to reach Tirumala on Monday evening. While negotiating a turn at Kukkaladoddi the car crashed into an oncoming truck. Sreeramulu (60), Yashoda (50), Devarasetti Narasimhulu (45), Devarasetti Jyoti (38), Kartik (5), Sreshta (7), Devarasetti Balakrsihna alias Kishen (28), Chandrika (27) and driver Sankar were among the dead. Injured Reshma has been admitted to a hospital.
