Anushka: Eventful birthday in line

Anushka has lost oodles of weight, is athletic, and is expected to leave an impact akin to what Prabhas has left, in the new video of ‘Bahubali’ that is scheduled to release today.

It will be a birthday to remember for actress Anushka Shetty, come this November 7. After director Gunasekhar announced a fortnight ago that he will be releasing the first look of his ambitious costume drama ‘Rudhramadevi’, in which Anushka plays the erstwhile Kakatiya dynasty ruler, on November 7, Shobu Yarlagadda, producer of her another period flick, too, stepped on to the bandwagon. He indicated that a new video of ‘Bahubali’, made at a budget of Rs 100 crore, would release this week. While he remained mum on why another video after the first video, which released on Prabhas’ birthday, accumulated countless hits on the virtual world, a little digging confirmed that the new video, which focuses on his film’s lead actress, will release on her birthday.

Though the ‘Bahubali’ team is disappointed with the fact that the maize field that they have cultivated for a portion of the film was washed away due to the recent incessant rains, we are told that Rajamouli, who holds Anushka in high regards, has handed over the reins of cutting the new video to his son SS Karthikeya again. This new video, on the lines of first video, will give a little peep into what Sweety, as Anushka is fondly called in the industry, will be doing in the film.

He is dealing with the project as a prestigious one and is more sentimental about the first look since it was exactly on Anushka birthday last year, he announced ‘Rudhramadevi’. It will be difficult for the audience to judge which look among her two films will stand apart.

” Birthday spaced out; the month too will be an exciting one for the Jejamma of Tollywood. Her another magnum opus ‘Varna’, which has been in the making for almost two years, is expected to release this month in both Telugu and Tamil simultaneously.

The Mangalore-beauty, who had to undergo extensive training in sword fighting and martial arts for this film, a fantasy action drama based on elements of Zen Philosophy and Sufism, has stated that she is eagerly anticipating the release. Forget Anushka, it will be double delight for her scores of Telugu and Tamil fans
