He was happy to have performed alongside Shahid, who he described as a good dancer, in the song 'Gandi Baat'.
Shahid Kapoor feels privileged to be choreographed by Prabhu Deva in upcoming film 'R Rajkumar' and says he tried hard to match dance steps with the choreographer-turned-director.
"Prabhu Deva and I are from very different schools of dancing. I have never danced in this style before...the tapori style. He has the midas touch of teasing women in tapori style (through dance in films)," Shahid said in Hyderabad on Tuesday as part of his movie promotion.
Shahid thought he was a good dancer till he started working with Prabhu Deva."I used to rehearse for four-five hours. He has worked really hard to make me dance like this," Shahid said. The 32-year-old actor took a lot of time to get a dance step right in the song 'Gandi Baat'.
"I had to rehearse a lot for it. I think its a privilege to be choreographed by him. I just tried to copy him as much as I could in all the songs," Shahid said.
Meanwhile, Prabhu Deva says he wants to work with Shahid Kapoor again.
"It was a great experience... amazing to work with Shahid. He is energetic and a good actor. I would like to work with him again whenever he is free," Prabhu Deva said.
It is for the first time that Prabhu Deva's upcoming film is an original and not a remake.
"Hope it is a hit. First time doing it (an original film). I have given my 200 per cent...," he added.
