Kamal's Vishwaroopam 2 to release in February

Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam sequel was to release around Pongal, clashing with Vijay's Jilla and Ajith's Veeram. But now we hear, Kamal has decided not to take a chance. The film's release date has been pushed to February. It may be recalled that the first instalment of Vishwaroopam faced a lot of hurdles before hitting theatres.

Muslim groups alleged that some parts of the movie had objectionable content that hurt the sentiments of their community. They protested and demanded that some scenes be removed. At one point, a frustated Kamal even threatened to leave the country.

However, the movie released after the intervention of Madras High Court. Now, the sequel of Vishwaroopam is now gearing up for release and it remains to be seen if it will have a peaceful release. Vishwaroopam stars Kamal Haasan, Pooja Kumar, Andrea, Shekhar Kapur and Rahul Bose who were also seen in the first part of the movie.

There are two new additions in the second part - Waheeda Rehman and Anant Mahadevan.
