“The casting of Ragini is almost over. Producer Rockline Venkatesh who will step into Telugu industry with the film held talks with the actress on Tuesday and her participation in the film is almost confirmed. She will join the sets soon,” a source added.
Speaking about the film, Venkatesh, a star producer in Karnataka having produced 33 Kannada films till date, says he has been in discussions with Ravi Teja for the last three and half years. “He assured me that he will get back to me when he gets a good script. Two months ago, he suggested that I listen to writer Bobby’s script.
He asked me to go ahead with the film only if I like the script. I endorsed it. His character will leave an impact akin to his police role in ‘Vikramarkudu’,” said the producer who has set his eyes on Telugu films. “I want to produce at least one Telugu film a year.”
Ravi Teja, who chose to take a break for the past six months, will be sporting a bearded look, similar to that of his role in ‘Balupu’, in the film. He welcomed producer Venkatesh into the industry. “I hope he rocks in Tollywood too,” he said while adding, “I’ve travelled closely with Bobby during the making of ‘Balupu’. I will see how he makes this film (smiles).”
Bobby hoped to meet the expectations that Ravi Teja has from him. “I will speak at the first look launch of the film,” he said.
Also starring Brahmanandam, Paruchuri Venkateshwara Rao, Brahmaji, Mukesh Rishi and ‘Mirchi’ Sampath in key roles, SS Thaman, Ravi Teja’s favourite composer, will render the tunes for the project which will have dialogues by Kona Venkat.
