Hyderabad: Police sent visuals of the film ‘Madhumati’ for forensic examination after television anchor-turned actress Udaya Bhanu lodged a police complaint against producer and director of the film for allegedly using morphed images of her to promote the film.
The Hyderabad Central Crime Station sleuths invoked sections 419 (impersonation) and 420 (cheating) of the IPC against the film director Raj Sridhar, and producer Kadiyam Ramesh. Udaya Bhanu who plays a sex-worker in the movie released on Friday raised objection to some obscene scenes in the movie.

It may be recalled that Udaya Bhanu on Friday alleged that the filmmakers used morphed photographs of her and showed a few obscene scenes to promote the movie. She also alleged that her plea for a preview of the movie was declined by the director and producer. Hence, she decided to lodge a police complaint, she added.
