Decks cleared for Paisa, Paisa, Ramesh Puppla, about Nani's Paisa Movie Release, Krishna Vamsi. The ace maker, who is known to extract great performances from his lead cast, is bowled over by Nani. “I liked his performance in ‘Ride’.

The cast and crew of ‘Paisa’ have finally breathed a sigh a relief. In the cans for a long time, decks have been cleared for the film’s release this Friday. Days after producer Ramesh Puppala confirming that his production will release this week, director Krishna Vamsi and actor Nani too reiterated the producer’s word.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the film, Krishna Vamsi said, “Money is dictating human lives these days. Souls are being killed, people are losing their honesty and it's all because money is given apex precedence. It is now the 11th incarnation. My film is all about how money makes people dance to its tunes and how people are after it. It is not about politics but touches some corrupt political practices. Though the film, I’m pointing out how to use money.”

The ace maker, who is known to extract great performances from his lead cast, is bowled over by Nani. “I liked his performance in ‘Ride’. I met him after it and said that I would like to work with him one day. Though ‘Paisa’ was written with another actor in mind, he gave his 100 per cent. He resembles a common man to me and ‘Paisa’ required a common man,” he added.

Talking about Nani’s character, he said, “He plays PraCASH in the film. He is after money and to what extent his goes to achieve it, taking into account circumstances around him, is his role all about.” About Catherine Teresa’s role, he said, “She plays a conservative old city girl Noorjahan. She is from an economically backward family and barely voices her opinion. She has a maximum of five dialogues in the film and was required to emote with her eyes. She would be noticed by everyone once the film releases.”

‘A’ certificate for the film is because of the content, Vamsi said. “Dhanalaxmi garu (regional censor board chief) said that she will allot it ‘U/A’ if I chopped some 15 minutes but I was not in a position to concede to it.”

Nani claimed that it’s a film that is close to his heart. “I’ve always admired Vamsi garu’s work. I watched ‘Paisa’ 20 times till now. It was a very difficult film to shoot because the director insisted that we shoot at authentic locations.”

Producer by Ramesh Puppla, the film also sees Siddhika, Charan Raj and Bharath Reddy in key roles.
