Set in the 1970s, the movie is an action crime thriller shot in parts of Kolkata. The lead actors turn Bengalis Bikram and Bala, for this movie which they play to perfection. Gunday is all about two small-time thieves who eventually get into coal mafia.
Bikram and Bala are the most loved gunday in the neighbourhood. Everything is fine till the beautiful Nandita enters their lives and ACP Satyajeet Sarkar who turn the duo's life upside down. The drama and thrill begins from here...
