Alleged ‘Yuddham’ producer Natti Kumar while adding that it is also the first time in the history of Indian cinema that a lead actor (Tarun) has stalled the release of his own movie

Producer Natti Kumar alleged that Suresh Babu, head of Suresh Productions, and three other big producers are holding the Telugu industry to ransom. Addressing a press conference on Friday in Hyderabad, he said, “I produced 'Yuddham' with Tarun in the lead and struggled to get the film to the release stage. Although Nizam theatres have come forward to screen it and financers have given the clearance, Suresh Film Distributors head Suresh Babu has, surprisingly, not given the permission to screen it in Andhra. When I asked him about it, Suresh said that Tarun has ‘faded out’ as an actor and that allocating theatres for his movie will not even help recover the printing costs. Under such unfavourable circumstances, I feel that it is better not to make movies as it is just not worth all this struggle.”

Natti Kumar said that if ‘Yuddham’ does get a March 14 release, he will stop producing movies. He further added, "Suresh Babu and three others are holding the theatres to ransom and are killing the film industry. I was to release ‘Yuddham’ on March 7, but since Suresh Productions’s movie - ‘Bheemavaram Bullodu’ - was to release on the same date, I was told that it would not be possible to give me theatres. I agreed and again when I was all set, Tarun stalled the release demanding that I pay him the balance of Rs 30 lakh before the release. It is the first time in the history of cinema that the lead actor has stalled the release of his own movie.”

Natti Kumar also alleged that ‘these big producers’ who often default on paying tax over theatres are killing the industry. “Cashing on Chiranjeevi's name, these producers are using 400 projectors for their personal use. Allu Aravind is using 400 theatres for his personal motives. I want to bring these irregularities to the notice of the governor,” he added.
