The Filmy Superhero League: Indian Superheroes And Who Would Play Them In A Film. Indian comic book superheroes never made the big screens like so many Marvel and DC Comics characters did. But if they did, who would be their counterparts from the Bollywood industry?

Do you remember Chacha Chaudhary whose brain was “sharper than a needle and faster than a super-computer”? Do you remember his companion, Sabu, who caused a volcano to erupt in Jupiter whenever he got angry? What about Suppandi, that loveable idiot from the Tinkle comics? What about the composed scientist Parmanu and gun wielding Doga?

Unfortunately, these heroes never made the big screens like so many Marvel and DC Comics characters did. But if they did, who would be their counterparts from the Bollywood industry?

Here’s a cast you’ll find hard to argue with!

Super Commando Dhruv

So we need someone who can swing like Tarzan, beat up an entire room of goons with a light punch and looks good with a motorcycle. Who could be more perfect for the role than our very own Salman Khan?

What about his sister, Kali Billi (ahem, Cat Woman?), or Chandika? Probably Kangana, after her performance in Revolver Rani, could she be anyone less fierce?

Nagraj

Tiger Shrauf. Okay, kidding. Hrithik Roshan. He certainly has shown us with his dance moves that he’s perfect for the role. Nobody cares if he's busy shooting Krissh 8.

Doga

This superhero was probably the weirdest of the lot, with the mask of a dog and a astonishingly large figure – he used an ultrasound whistle to attract dogs who came to his rescue every fight. John Abraham is probably the only one who can make this role attractive.

Paramanu

An Indian superman who’s a police inspector by day and vigilante by night, Parmanu was the attractive nerd of the comic book community. Not many people can handle a character whose personality is so strange and ever changing, and though Aamir Khan could do it too, let’s give it to Ranbir.

Shakti

Blessed with the powers of Goddess Kali, this blonde superwoman could turn any metal into a weapon and had fire in her hands – why wasn’t she the ruling Queen of the comic book community? Well, only the ruling Queen of Bollywood should play her, so let’s give the part to Deepika Padukone.
