Family, Faction, action, mythology, folk, science fiction, period drama - You name it and this actor has been there done that. Yes, we are talking about Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna. The Telugu actor who debuted with Tathamma Kala was last seen in Legend. His versatility is visible in the kind of roles he's experimented with.
Balayya, as he's fondly referred to in the industry recently completed 40 years in the industry. On the occasion, he spoke his heart out to the media. Here are excerpts..
"It feels like only yesterday that I faced the camera for the first time. My father has been my guru, guide, director. I never questioned myself on my achievements. My journey in films inspire me to try something new every time. My Telugu pride makes me mimic dialogues that audience will love and act in movies that they will like. I am friendly with star heroes like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh who are director's actor. I don't watch outside movies, but deliver my best which is reflected in my performance. My son is currently pursuing his business management course in America so it will take a while before he enters the industry. I have a lot of hopes on him."
Balayya also praised his wife Vasundhara's sacrifice for the sake of family. He also spoke of promotion in his personal life..that he was looking forward to becoming a grandfather in real life. "Movies, cancer hospital and politics these are my life now!" said the Natasimha of Tollywood. The affection of crores of my fans, blessings of lakhs of parents have made me feel much younger, he signed off.
