However, it didn't stop there. Year 2010 marked the debut of a one of the most versatile artists with the sleeper hit "Tere Bin Laden".
After the riveting success of the film, Ali was immediately roped in by Yash Raj Films for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan ,which did encouraging business at the box office . The actor then impressed critics with his performance in Chashme Baddoor and has now taken the audiences and critics alike by surprise with his latest offering in "Kill Dil".
Ali Zafar walked away with rave reviews as he held his own alongside veteran Govinda,Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra –
Says Komal Nahta, "Ali Zafar complements Ranveer Singh well. He plays Tutu with the right amount of feelings. "
Says Anupama Chopra, "Freed from the burden of being the romantic lead, Ali gives solid support to Ranveer".
Says Gulf News, "Singh may have had the best lines, but actor Ali Zafar as Tutu complements him well as his partner in crime."
Says Snehal Rajani, "it seems like Ali Zafar‘s performance in the film is all set to get positive reviews from the critics. Ali Zafar, whose forte is comedy, Govinda, who played lead roles in commercially successful comedy films and Ranveer Singh, who is known for his enthusiastic and high spiritedness- they are like the electrons with the highest energy levels! The level of rambunctiousness that is seen in the movie by this killer trio is unimaginable!"
Happy with the response coming his way says Ali Zafar, “The feedback has been really overwhelming. Tutu was a dream role and something out of my comfort zone that I really wanted to experiment with – I’m humbled by the response”.
