Gopala Gopala first look trends worldwide

The first look of Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan-starrer ‘Gopala Gopala’, a remake of Bollywood sleeper hit ‘Oh My God!’, was unveiled on Friday much to the delight of the fans of both the superstars. Such was the frenzy of fans on social media that minutes after the makers released the look, it became a worldwide Twitter trend for a good part of Friday. From celebrities to fans, everyone had a word or two praising the look and the background score.

Pawan’s ex-wife Renu Desai had tweeted this to say: “Just saw the poster. Perfect poster for the perfect person. Only he can look so serene& divine (sic).”

Released as a motion poster of 43 seconds, it features Pawan Kalyan lying on a swing; in typical Lord Krishna style with his eyes closed while Venkatesh walking past him takes a second to imitate him.

Set to release during Sankranthi 2015, the satirical comedy drama sees Shriya Saran, Mithun Chakraborthy, Raghu Babu, Vennela Kishore, Posani Krishna Murali, Madhu Shalini and Pruthviraj in supporting roles. Directed by Kishore Kumar Pardasani, the film is a joint venture between Suresh Babu and Sharrath Marar.
