Music director Chakri is No More
Popular Telugu music composer Chakradhar Gilla aka Chakri died here on Monday. He was 40. \"He returned home late last night from his studio. In the morning, when his wife couldn\'t wake him up, he was rushed to Apollo Hospital. He was declared dead on arrival,\" a family source said.
Hyderabad: Popular Telugu music composer Chakradhar Gilla aka Chakri died here on Monday. He was 40. "He returned home late last night from his studio. In the morning, when his wife couldn't wake him up, he was rushed to Apollo Hospital. He was declared dead on arrival," a family source said.
Born on June 15, 1974, Chakri started his career by composing music for independent albums. In 2000, he made his debut as music composer for Telugu film "Baachi". Till now, he has composed music for over 80 Telugu films. His last released album was for Vishnu Manchu-starrer Telugu film "Errabus". Some of Chakri's popular albums include "Devadasu", "Desamuduru", "Krishna" and "Maska". He has one Filmfare and Nandi award to his credit.
Top-ranking Telugu hero and TDP MLA N Balakrishna and a number of film personalities paid homage to the departed soul and recalled their association with him. The cremation took place in the evening. Many political leaders condoled the death of Chakri.
