PK wanted me to direct him: Dasari

While Dasari Narayana Rao and Pawan Kalyan are all set to team up as an actor and producer, the hunt is on for a suitable director. But the filmmaker reveals that the actor had asked him to direct a film with him. “He told me that veterans like me should make films and that I should direct him.

I am not in good form and the films I make do not really match up to the present audiences’ tastes. Pawan Kalyan is at the pinnacle of his career and I couldn’t let him risk it. So I told him that I can’t direct but would like to produce his film with a commercial director,” said the veteran filmmaker.

While work on the film’s script is going on in full swing, it is learnt that the film will have nothing political about it. “Had this project began around elections time, I would have thought about that but for now there are no plans of that sort. Even he didn’t indicate that he wants to do a film of that sort”, he added.
