Kerintha girl Nitya is on an exploratory path

Turning into an actress wasn’t one of Nitya Naresh’s goals. The Mumbai-raised actress is playing a key role in producer Dil Raju’s ‘Kerintha’. “I have been into theatre and also studied filmmaking but never dreamt of getting into cinema. It just happened.

I like to take things as they go and just took this opportunity to figure out what I actually want to do in life. I am just exploring the path,” she says. The 23-year-old says that being a part of ‘Kerintha’ was nothing short of fun. “It is a multi-starrer and surprisingly all of us got along really well. We had become a gang of sorts both on and off the sets.

We still keep in touch. It was really fun,” she says with a smile. Speaking about her role in the film, she shares, “There are multiple stories in the film and one of them is mine. This story is a take on love in its various forms. Every kind of love is part of this narration and everyone will relate to at least one of the tales. My version of love is the unconditional one.

I am seen in a love triangle involving Sumanth and Sri Divya. I love Sumanth, expecting nothing in return.” For Nitya, speaking the language turned out to be tough. “Someone was asking me what was the toughest part about acting and I had told them that acting was easy but the language wasn’t,” smiles the girl who is a half Malayali.
