He was speaking at a press conference convened to outline the measures that his team has taken after being voted to power. Welcoming IT minister KT Rama Rao’s gesture of providing financial aid to artiste Nagaiah (Vedam fame), he said, “Though he is not a member of MAA, I’ve decided to help him in my personal capacity.

Also, producer Sai Venkat has announced to give Rs 25,000 for him.” He added that veteran artiste Naga Subrahmanyam, who played Kusa in the classic ‘Lava Kusa’, will also get monetary assistance of Rs 25,000 from MAA. Prasad also advised artistes, who are yet to become members of MAA, to join the body straightaway.



“I request artistes, especially from neighbouring states, to take membership of MAA,” he said. MAA General Secretary Sivaji Raja said they are planning to tie-up with Make-A-Wish Foundation to ensure the wishes of terminally ill children meeting their favourite stars takes place at the earliest.
