My role is central to Dynamite: Pranitha

Actress Pranitha, who is Manchu Vishnu’s leading lady in ‘Dynamite’, is happy with the way her character was designed. “I play this modern Hyderabad girl who gets trapped in a tricky situation and how Vishnu bails out her forms the film.

The role is central to the plot,” she said, speaking at a promotional interaction of the film in Hyderabad on Thursday. The actress had to perform action sequences for the film and she said that despite practicing a lot she got hurt. “I hurt my knees badly while shooting for one of the action scenes,” she said.

Talking about her experience of collaborating with Vishnu, she said, “Vishnu is hatke and his thoughts too are hatke. He watches more of Hollywood movies and tries his best to incorporate Hollywood action into his films.” Pranitha said that despite the film being a remake of a Tamil film (Arima Nambi), director Deva Katta has tweaked it to suit Telugu sensibilities.

“A lot of changes have been made and Katta has peppered the screenplay with all the thrill elements,” she said. A Kannadiga, Pranitha is now speaking in fluent Telugu. Ask her about it, she said, “I picked it up by conversing in Telugu with my crew. Sooner or later I will dub for my characters too.”
