Veteran director Vamsi will join hands with actor Raj Tarun, who is basking in the success of latest hit ‘Cinema Choopista Maava’, for the sequel to his 1985 box office smash ‘Ladies Tailor’.

The sequel, which is expected to go on floors soon, is titled ‘Fashion Designer’ with the caption ‘Son of Ladies Tailor’. "Vamsi really liked Raj Tarun's performance in 'Uyyala Jampala' and 'Cinema Choopista Maava'. He felt he'd be perfect for the sequel to 'Ladies Tailor' and roped him in.

The film will be produced by Madhura Sreedhar," said a source close to the development. Senior actor Rajendra Prasad, who played the lead in ‘Ladies Tailor’, will be essaying a key role in the sequel too. The rest of the cast will be finalised soon. Vamsi, 58, is known for delivering memorable films such as ‘Anveshana’, ‘Chettu Kinda Pleader’ and ‘April 1st Vidudala’.

Meanwhile, Raj Tarun is currently busy shooting for his yet-to-be-titled next with friend Gavireddy Srinivas at Chikmagalur, Karnataka. A production of S Shailendra Babu, KV Sridhar Reddy and D Harish, the film has music by Gopi Sunder. Newbie Aarthana is paired opposite Raj Tarun in the flick, a romantic drama.
