Gunasekhar's Rudramadevi is set for a grand release on October 9. The movie, which is supposedly India's first stereoscopic 3D historic film, will hit screens in several languages simultaneously. If you are yet to decide on watching the film on this weekend, here are some reasons why you should get some time for it.

Story:
Touted to be one of the most expensive Telugu films ever to be made, Rudramadevi is the story of the reigning queen of Kakatiya dynasty. Rudramadevi was a warrior queen of Kakatiya Kingdom.
Director Gunasekhar researched for the script for nearly nine years. He also took inputs from from M Sivaprasad, Thota Prasad and Paruchuri Brothers.
Star Cast:
Another major highlight of the film is said to be its strong star cast who worked hard for the film.
The film features Rana Daggubati and Allu Arjun in important roles. Nithya Menen, Prakash Raj, Catherine Tresa, Aditi Chengappa and Krishnam Raju are also part of the ensemble cast.
Allu Arjun plays the role of Gona Gannareddy, while Catherine Tresa plays the role of Princess Annambika. Catherine, Nitya Menen and Anushka all will be seen in a special song.
Director:
Gunasekhar is one director who is very fond of history. He has directed blockbuster films like Ramayanam which won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film.
He reportedly faced severe financial problems while making the movie and spent more than Rs 60 crores on the movie by selling his properties.
Technology:
‘Rudhramadevi’ is regarded as the first Indian 3D historic film. Since the film was shot in 3D, designing VFX turned out to be a laborious process.
The makers of the movie have used the best technology for the visual effects and the graphic works done for the movie is said to be the main asset of the film.
Music:
The music has been composed by none other than eminent music composer Ilayaraja. One could not ask for anything better than this, isn't it?
