While the length of the traditional Indian sari is typically around six to seven yards, Anushka Shetty will be draping a 11-yard sari in her forthcoming film ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’.

Since Anushka plays a Queen in the second part of the epic drama, the makers were keen on a sari with a long silk fall that reflects the royalty in her demeanour. And as such, the designers got her sari specially woven to suit the character requirement. In fact, the material for her outfits have been purchased and woven from Jaipur.

A source in the know explains, “Since it’s difficult to get a normal sari of 11 yards, the makers have woven a silk drape to suit the Queen’s role. In the first part Anushka was shown as a hostage who sports a crumpled sari but it’s actually a brand new cotton sari and the designers have tailored it to meet the character demands.”

Also, Anushka’s jewellery in the second part of the Rajamouli directorial has been shopped from Jaipur and Karnataka to make the ornaments look more authentic.
