Dwaraka has given me great scope to perform: Pooja

Actress Pooja Jhaveri says that her role in ‘Dwaraka’, which stars Vijay Deverakonda in the lead, gave her lot of scope to perform. "My role is such that it has given me immense scope to perform, unlike other roles in my career so far. My character is the reason behind everything the hero does in the movie. In a way, the entire story revolves around my role," Pooja said.

Directed by Srinivasa Ravindra, the film features Vijay in the role of a thief. "It's an interesting story of how a thief (played by Vijay) becomes a baba. What are the circumstances behind his transformation? All these things form the crux of the story. Although it's not an out-and-out commercial film, it does have its commercial moments," she said.

In the film, which features a battalion of actors, Pooja plays a Hyderabadi girl. "She's just out of college and she's being forced to get married. However, she's against the idea and has something else on her mind," she said.
