Film with Mahesh will be version 2.0 of Thuppakki: Tagore Madhu
The virtual world on Saturday was abuzz with the news that Mahesh Babu’s next with AR Murugadoss has been titled as ‘Sambhavami’.
The producer says with the current Ahmedabad schedule, which will be wrapped up on December 24, 70 per cent of the film will be wrapped up. He added that Tamil actor Bharath is playing a key role
The virtual world on Saturday was abuzz with the news that Mahesh Babu’s next with AR Murugadoss has been titled as ‘Sambhavami’. When contacted Tagore Madhu, one of the producers of the film (the other being NV Prasad), on the same he clarified, “’Sambhavami’ is one among the four titles that we have in our mind. We haven’t locked on one yet. May be by early January, we’ll come up with the title.”
The film’s shooting is going on Ahmedabad right now and recently a video by one of the unit members showing the huge turnout to get a glimpse of Mahesh has gone viral. Ask him are they shooting at peace, Madhu laughed, “It’s a nice chaos to have. In fact some local VIP’s and ministers too dropped by the location to have a word with Mahesh. The Gujarat government and police have been extremely co-operative for the shoot.”
Speaking about the shoot, the Ahmedabad outing, with which 70 per cent of the filming will come to an end, will go till December 24. What next? “The next schedule will start in Hyderabad on January 3. We are hoping to wrap up the film by February save alone for two songs. In between we’ll shoot in Mumbai and Pune for 10-12 days. A song might be shot abroad,” replied Madhu, adding that though they have a summer release in mind, they can only come to a conclusion about the date only after the film is wrapped up.
Is it true that Murugadoss is taking his own sweet time to wrap up the film, which went on to floors on July 29 in Hyderabad? Smiling at the observation, Madhu noted, “The subject’s span is vast and requires time. Also, it’s a bilingual, but Murugadoss is equal to the task and his focus levels are simply mind-blowing. “Casting wise too it’s a big film. Tamil actor Bharat too is doing a key role.”
Mahesh is reportedly playing an Intelligent Bureau officer, who specialises in containing terrorist activities, in the film. Ask him about the film’s log line, he clams up. But he adds it’s a thriller, promising a version 2.0 of ‘Thuppakki’. So how is Mahesh to work with? “It’s fantastic. He jells with everyone on sets and doesn’t have any airs about being a superstar.”
