Seasoned star Balakrishna, who launched his banner NBK Films with NTR biopic with much fanfare, is now reportedly planning to cut down on productions since he is unable to focus on acting as well as production. “He may not be producing all his films and will allot dates for other producers this year,” says an industry source, and adds “Balakrishna ventured into production with his dad’s biopic to make it with lot passion and commitment.
He has done a great job and received loads of appreciation,” the source adds. Already, he announced his next big-ticket film with director Boyapati Srinu and it will go on the floors from March, as the director is fine-tuning the script. “Balakrishna and his family wanted to produce more movies to enhance the brand of scion of Nandamuri family. Without compromising on budget or creativity. However, they could be slowing down a bit,” the source points out.
Actually, producer C Kalyan has been waiting in the wings to make a film with ‘Simha’ star and has been holding discussions for quite some time. “C Kalyan film will happen this year, if the right script and director are finalized,” the source adds. Meanwhile, Balayya has joined the elite list of star-turned-producers like Krishna, Krishnam Raju and Nagarjuna.
