Manushi Chillar says Sridevi was an Icon and will always remain one, on the sidelines of an award show here in Mumbai.

Bollywood celebrities graced the Nykaa Femina Beauty Awards 2019. Film personalities such as Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Raveena Tandon, Taapsee Pannu, Manushi Chillar and many more graced the red carpet.

Talking about Sridevi, whose death anniversary is around the corner, Manushi Chillar said, “I remember that the first movie that I saw of Sridevi, I think she is a legend and she still lives within all of us. She has set a benchmark for all of us and what she has achieved is actually made everything so much more worthwhile and worth achieving within the industry and she is beautiful. She established herself in a time when there weren’t many superstars…She opened the doors for women, she is an icon and she always will be”

It's been almost a year since the untimely passing of legendary actress, Sridevi. The diva was in Abu Dhabi along with her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi Kapoor for Mohit Marwah's wedding along with the entire Kapoor clan.

Manushi Chillar also cleared the air about film debut, which has been making rounds for the longest.

She said, “I will be very honest; this is all very new to me. I have never even lived near Mumbai nor did I know anyone. So last one year has been quite busy and now only I’ve gotten the time to actually understand things”

“And I don’t want to go enter films just because there is some opportunity; I want to do a good job. So right now I just want to understand and learn. And when there is anything, I am sure everyone will get to know about it”

Manushi Chhillar was crowned Miss World in 2017. She is the sixth representative from India to win the Miss World pageant.
