Nizamabad: In a heinous incident, a 17-year-old boy tried to rape a 3-year-old girl in a Mathamal village of Yellareddy Mandal on Saturday. This incident came to light when the grandfather of the victim noticed the act.
According to Mandal police circle inspector Ramakrishna, the accused had taken the girl to the area behind the house and had attempted to rape her. The parents of the girl were not at home at that time.
Following the complaint of the girl’s grandfather, the police lodged a case. The accused has been taken into custody.
