Zaheerabad: Four masked men try to rape woman farmer

Zaheerabad (Medak): Four masked persons allegedly made an attempt to rape a woman farmer at Gudupalli village in the mandal under Chirakpalli police limits on Thursday. The incident took place as she was heading as usual to the field.

The four pounced on the victim before dragging her to an adjoining field. She raised an alarm, drawing the attention of others working in their fields.

They reached the spot, forcing the four to escape. She was found unconscious. Villagers telephoned the police, who rushed to the village and sent her to the government hospital here. Investigation is on.
