Liquor worth Rs 1L seized
Liquor Worth Rs 1L Seized. Early on Monday, the police have carried out the spur-of-the-moment checks in view of the ongoing election code in the state.
Hyderabad: Early on Monday, the police have carried out the spur-of-the-moment checks in view of the ongoing election code in the state. In an incident, the police have found illegal possession of liquor worth Rs 1L, stored in a godown at Devunipalli village of Kamareddy mandal in Nizamabad district. There were as many as 620 bottles of liquor found illegally stored in the godown, added Narender Reddy, the Sub Inspector of Police of Kamareddy. The liquor has been seized apart from detaining the accused. A case has been booked and investigations are on.
Last week, Banwar Lal, the Chief Election Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh, said that so far they have seized Rs 108cr during their checking carried out in view of the looming elections. He addressed the media and said that they have also seized 69.5kg gold, 300kg silver apart from 4.10L litres liquor. Further, so many incidents of liquor, cash and jewellery have been registered in this week.
