Hyderabad: The Sultan Bazaar police on Monday have arrested the accused Satish Kodkar, 23 in connection with the death of K S Harshavardhan Rao, a second year B Com student of Pragati Maha Vidyalaya Degree College in Koti on Saturday, inspector G Srinivias, who is investigating the case, said. Harshavardhan was knocked down with a fatal blow by Satish Kodkar, a final year student of the same college on Saturday evening following a heated argument that ensued between Harshavardhan and Satish. He was immediately rushed to Care Hospital in Nampally where he died while undergoing treatment.

Based on a complaint from his father, KS Narsing Rao, a case under Section 302 (Murder) was registered against Satish and the police took up investigation. “During interrogation, he confessed that he attacked Harshavardhan who fell down hitting his head to the edge of the bench,” the inspector said adding the accused was nabbed at a tea stall near Kachiguda railway station. He was produced in Nampally Criminal Court and remanded to 14-day judicial custody.
