House breaking gang busted; five arrested
The Dundigal police busted a house-breaking gang. Four persons and a receiver of the gang have been arrested by the police on Tuesday. Hyderabad: The Dundigal police busted a house-breaking gang. Four persons and a receiver of the gang have been arrested by the police on Tuesday. Police seized 20 tolas of gold ornaments and 22 two-wheelers from their possession. The arrested gang members have been identified as N Kumar, B Murari, Prasanth, and Lingam Goud, all native of Medak district and a receiver, Raju, were reported to have been involved in such offences for quite some time.
On a tip-off, police under the supervision of ACP (CCS) Usha Rani, laid a trap and nabbed Kumar on Tuesday during routine checking of vehicles. Based on his confession, others were arrested. During interrogation, they confessed to have committed crime under different police station limits and were involved in at least 28 similar offences.
“Kumar was moving suspiciously and on inquiry he did not disclose the particulars of the stolen property, so he was brought to police station. On interrogation, he confessed to their involvement in the house burglaries and bike lifting,” the cops said. The accused persons were produced before the court for police remand.
