Of the dead, four came from Warangal district, two each from Guntur, Krishna, Adilabad and one from Prakasam districts. Two engineering students were killed when the two-wheeler on which they were travelling was hit by a car from behind at Jangam in Warangal district. They were identified as Sumanth Reddy and Satish.

A woman died on spot and another succumbed to injuries while being shifted to a hospital when an auto-rickshaw fell into SRSP canal after the driver lost control of the vehicle. Six persons were injured. The accident happened when 10 persons of Annaram Thanda under Parvathagiri mandal were going to Errabelligudem.

Two persons died and three others suffered injuries at Bellampally in Adilabad district when a lorry collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw. Six persons, including two children, were seriously injured in an accident on the Outer Ring Road near Shamshabad on the outskirts of Hyderabad. They were going to Chilukur from Guntur.

P Jaswanth (9) of Jandrapet died when two auto-rickshaws were involved in a collision near the bridge on Kothakaluva at Vetlapalem in Prakasam district. Two persons injured were shifted to Chirala government hospital for treatment. Two persons were killed and 15 others were injured in a freak road accident on the National Highway 16 at Autonagar area of Pedakakani mandal, near Guntur, early on Sunday. The driver of a cement lorry Balaraju of Kurnool and Sasi of Bengaluru were the victims.

In another accident at Garikapadu check-post in Krishna district, two people were killed when a lorry hit the car in which they were travelling. Harikrishna and Narasimham of Suryapet were coming to Hyderabad from Vijayawada when the accident happened. Four persons sustained injuries when the van they were travelling in overturned at Seedhikodali in Srikakulam district.

They were going to Embaram from Gopalapuram. They were shifted to Pathapatnam for treatment. Meanwhile, two persons died in a road accident, which took place on the outskirts of Nalgonda town on Sunday evening. Deceased persons were identified as Hussain (50), a resident of NTR colony of Nalgonda town and Satyam (27), a native of Charlapally village.

They died on the spot, when a tipper hit their motorcycle from behind on the by-pass road of Nalgonda. The driver of the tipper was at large. After getting information about the accident, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to government hospital for postmortem. The police filed a case and are investigating.
