Tahsildar among four govt officials who were caught red-handed for seeking bribe to discharge their duties

Hyderabad: A Tahsildar was among four government officials who were caught red-handed by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in separate cases in Telangana for allegedly taking bribe. C Murali Krishna, Tahsildar of Balanagar mandal of Mahabubnagar district, was caught red-handedat at his office, on Wednesday, along with K Shiva Ramulu, village revenue officer, while accepting bribe amount of Rs 25,000 from a complainant for doing an official favour, an ACB release, said here on Thursday.


In two other cases including K Jaipal Reddy, assistant district fire officer in Karimnagar town, was caught red handed in his office chambers while accepting a bribe of Rs 60,000 from a complainant to process the fire safety license renewal file of a hospital. Similarly, S Ravinder, junior assistant (outsourcing), Telangana State Housing Board was caught, while accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 from a complainant to process a file pertaining to a house allotted by the Housing Board to his mother.

No arrests have been made in these cases so far but cases are under investigation, the release added.
