Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand has suspended police sub-inspector Saidulu of the Vanastalipuram police station who allegedly accepted a bribe of Rs 8,000 from a Fair Price shop dealer and also letting off an accused by not arresting in another case.
The suspended sub-inspector had also allegedly collected between Rs 2,000 and Rs 5,000 from each pandal organiser in the sector with the help of Blue Colts personnel. Thus, he had collected between Rs 50,000 and Rs 60,000 during Ganesh Chathurthi festival.
Another police constable Mansoor Alam attached to Sanathnagar Police Station was also suspended for not performing his official duties but collecting bribes under the police station limits.
