3 students drown in River Nagavali

Three school going children drowned in River Nagavali at Manguvarithota near Siddardha School in Srikakulam town on Friday. The deceased were identified as Hemachandra (13), Rakesh (13) and Lokesh (11).
Srikakulam: Three school going children drowned in River Nagavali at Manguvarithota near Siddardha School in Srikakulam town on Friday. The deceased were identified as Hemachandra (13), Rakesh (13) and Lokesh (11).
They belonged to APHB Colony in the town. In the evening, they went to Nagavali river to swim as part of new year celebrations. They drowned in the river while swimming. On information, police and fire department staff rushed to spot and launched search to fish out the bodies.
Local MLA G Laxmidevi and SP A SKhan reached to spot and reviewed the situation. The children were studying class-VII and VIII in a private school in the town.
