Hyderabad: A local court on Tuesday granted permission to Banjara Hills police to take custody of Ravela Susheel, son of Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu and his driver Ramesh, who were arrested on charges of misbehaving with a woman.

On examining the case, the court rejected bail to Susheel and Ramesh. The duo was arrested by the police on Sunday. The police had sought the duo’s custody for three days, but the court allowed custody for only two days.

The accused were booked under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of IPC by the Banjara Hills police. The duo was also drunk when the incident happened. They were beaten up by the locals for molesting the woman teacher.
