A person posing as a saint was taken into custody along with his aide. Bathula Koteswara Rao (35) and Balajangam Sriram (20) were produced before the media. According to the joint Commissioner, Koteswara Rao used to make a living by selling talisman threads and other threads which are believed to be sacred.

His neighbour Sriram joined him later. The duo visited a house in Krishna Lanka, where they stole the gold chain of a woman. On suspicion, the duo was taken into custody in Prakash Nagar and 28 sovereigns of gold was seized from them.
