Hyderabad: A realtor from Tolichowki was arrested by the city police on charges of attempting to sell an antique marine telescope and a chess board that were dated to 1915.
On credible information, the Central Zone Task Force team raided the house of Mohammed Saleh (31) at Tolichowki and recovered an Antique Victorian Marine Telescope along with its stand made by W Ottway & Co Ltd, London, dated 1915 and a chess board along with its contents from his possession.
During questioning, Saleh told police that he bought them from his friend Riyaz of Secunderabad in 2008. Since then he hid them in his home and was waiting for prospective buyers to sell them for Rs 30 lakh, the DCP Limba Reddy said.
