Three held for murder

Local police on Wednesday solved the case of murder of Gangapuram Ramulu that happened 20 days ago by arresting his close relatives Bhadrayya, Ramulu and Durgayya, who allegedly slit the victim’s throat. According to the police, the motive was the victim’s refusal to return a loan of Rs10,000.

The investigation by CI Nandishwar Reddy revealed that Bhadrayya, who is co-brother of Ramulu, and his brother (also identified as Ramulu) besides Durgayya, as part of a conspiracy to go ahead with the murder, consumed liquor, along with the victim. After getting intoxicated, they cut his throat resulting in instantaneous death. The police arrested the three accused.
