Constable, son killed in road accident
In a gruesome accident, a police constable and his one-month-old son were killed while his wife sustained injuries when the motorcycle they were travelling on was hit by a truck.
Hyderabad: In a gruesome accident, a police constable and his one-month-old son were killed while his wife sustained injuries when the motorcycle they were travelling on was hit by a truck.
The accident occurred on Chevella Road on Saturday. According to Chevella police, the victim, Shankarpuram Srinivas, a constable attached to Jagatgirigutta Police Station, along with his wife Sunitha (25) and son Sadhvik (one month), was returning to his home in Venkategudem from his in-laws house in Ellammabanda of Kukatpally. While he was on Chevella Road, he was hit by a military truck. Srinivas and his son were killed on the spot while Sunitha suffered grievous injuries. Sunitha was immediately rushed to a private hospital for treatment.
Chevella Police have registered a case of rash driving under Section 304A against the truck driver.
