Cops raid ghee manufacturing unit in Hyderabad

According to police, the accused Perumal Srinivasan, 53, residing in Amberpet indulged in preparation and sale of adulterated ghee by mixing Vanaspathi (dalda). The police seized 60-kgs of adulterated ghee, 3-kgs of adulterated ghee packets and other material from the spot.
“The accused is running business in the name of Sri Sai Jagatha Ghee Stores and Coffee work located at Shankarmutt, Nallakunta, Hyderabad.
He is manufacturing adulterated ghee at his godown for the last one and half year by mixing Vanaspathi in pure ghee and selling the same in market as pure ghee.
Though he knows pretty well that the adulterated ghee is hazardous to the public health,” said Ch Shashidhar Raju, Additional DCP, Task Force.
