He is a grandson of L V Prasad and a film producer
Rajahmundry: Prominent film producer and Managing Director of Anand Regency Group of Hotels Akkineni Ravishankar Prasad went missing in the Union Territory of Yanam on Monday. He is also associated with Anand Regency Pvt Ltd, Prasad Properties and Investments Pvt Ltd, Manoharamma Hotel Investments Pvt Ltd, Gemeni Lab and Gemini Film Circuit. Prasad is the grandson of one of the pioneers of Indian cinema and recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Awardee L?V?Prasad. He has wife and two daughters. A missing case was booked in Yanam police station.
Prasad had come to Yanam to visit the Anand regency branch. He left the hotel for morning walk at around 3.30 a.m and did not come back. His brother lodged a police complaint in the evening. The police constituted special teams to locate him. They examined the CC camera clippings of Anand Regency Hotel and the toll gate, showing Prasad walking on the Balayogi Varadhi between Yanam and Yedurlanka.
Manohar Prasad and Gemini MD Kiran met East Godavari SP Shivshankar Reddy on Tuesday. Speaking to The Hans India, the SP said the police special teams would try to locate Prasad in areas like I Polavaram and Mummidivaram.
