No trouble for SSC, Inter valuation

Hyderabad: With the Schedule for General Elections out, there is a slight possibility of the change of date of exam of the all important EAMCET- which was earlier decided as May 17. As the counting of votes will take place on May 16, it is a bit difficult for the officials to conduct the test the very next day, top sources in Council for Higher Education said.

“‘Most of the staff will have to be drafted for election work and the same people cannot attend for EAMCET duty. Moreover, the centres earmarked for counting in the district headquarters will also be used for EAMCET. Since the time is very short, the premises cannot be made ready for the test. The district machinery too will not handover the premises immediately. So, the centres have to be necessarily changed if the exam will have to be held there itself. These are some of the issues that needs to be considered.

The CET committee will meet again and discuss the matter. If necessary, the test will be deferred by a week” an official told The Hans India.

But the officials anticipate no inconvenience for holding the valuation of SSC and Intermediate which would start at the end of this month. ‘since the first phase elections will be held on April 30, we are confident, we can complete the process by that time. But the tabulation and some related work may remain. We would discuss on it and see how fast we can finish it off” an official of Board of Intermediate Education said.
