Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) chairman Prof. L Venugopal Reddy made it clear that counselling process would be completed by the end of August as per Supreme Court directions. Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, the chairman of APSCHE said that the counselling would commence with certificates verification as the first step on August 7 as per the notification issued on June 30. “An emergency meeting was scheduled on Tuesday, as the members of the admission committee were pre-occupied with work and they wanted it postponed to Wednesday,” he added. What if the Telangana government doesn't cooperate in the counselling, he said. The Supreme Court’s decision is binding to both the states. I am hopeful that both the governments will cooperate and participate in the counselling process, he added. Venugopal stated that a few GOs regarding admissions in the private colleges were pending with governments. “We requested the government to release the GOs as the admission process would start soon,” he said.
