500 Indian and foreign institutions to participate
Hyderabad: The Indus Foundation, a non-profit trust, is conducting ‘Indo-Global Education Expo & Summit 2014’ from November 20 to 23 at Hotel Marigold, Greenlands, Ameerpet.
Top 500 Indian and foreign institutions are expected to participate. Nearly 10,000 visitors and delegates are expected at this biggest networking educational event. Around 100 speakers will address about 34 sessions spread across four days. Also, educational excellence awards will be presented to reputed Indian and foreign institutions and educationists.
The four-day summit is expected to be attended by institutions and delegates from countries like USA, UK, Ireland, China, South Africa, Malaysia, apart from delegates from India. The theme of the summit is ‘Educational Excellence Without Borders’.
The expo is organised jointly by the Government of Telangana, FAPCCI, OMICS Group and the Indus Foundation. The event will showcase technology and training solutions and will put the spotlight on educational institutions of excellence, highlight best practices in teaching, learning and training. It will be a place where students aspiring for higher education, their parents, teachers, lecturers, educationists and others, will assemble in large numbers.
Major fields covered in the expo will be engineering and IT, business and management, life sciences and biomedicine, natural sciences, arts and humanities and social sciences.
The summit will have sessions on collaborative research programmes, joint/dual degree programmes, twinning and transfer programmes, faculty and student exchange, study abroad in India, distance education, vocational education, and other academic partnerships. There will be separate sessions for student recruitment. An important feature of the summit will be a visit to well established and prominent Indian educational institutions.
Educational Excellence Awards will be an important feature of the summit. These awards are presented to institutions, educationists, researchers, faculty, alumni and students in recognition of their contributions and excellence in any of the academic fields. The awards identify and promote innovation and educational excellence.
