A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between KIMS Foundation and Research Centre (KFRC) and Sultan ul Uloom College of Pharmacy (SUCP) at the latter’s campus. The MoU aims to facilitate research for students of the pharmacy college at the hospital’s multifarious research centre.

KIMS chairman Dr Kakarla Subbarao, expressing delight on inking of the MoU, appreciated the efforts of SUCP College in creating awareness and interest among students on the latest trends in pharmacy. Kanakabhushanam, secretary of the research advisory boards, KIMS, said, “We are proud to have modern equipment and research facilities. KFRC is one of the handful institutes funded by the Central Government to carry out research and developmental activities in medicine, and is recognised by the DSIR and Drug Controller General of India (DCGI).”

Dr Anupama Koneru, principal, Sultan ul Uloom College of Pharmacy, urged the college faculty to make best use of the research facilities available at KIMS and KFRC. SUCP already has MoUs with several reputed central bodies including CRIUM and Prime Hospitals, and also conducts workshops at CII (Confederation of Indian Industries). It also has the rare statewide distinction of a five-year permanent affiliation with JNTU.
