Business analytics course @ GITAM
GITAM University will launch a three-year undergraduate programme in business analytics from this year, said Vice-Chancellor Prof. G Subrahmanyam. Briefing about the new course to newspersons here on Sunday, Subrahmanyam said “new course would help to prepare future manpower with a bright career in data sciences, big data and business analytics.”
Visakhapatnam: GITAM University will launch a three-year undergraduate programme in business analytics from this year, said Vice-Chancellor Prof. G Subrahmanyam. Briefing about the new course to newspersons here on Sunday, Subrahmanyam said “new course would help to prepare future manpower with a bright career in data sciences, big data and business analytics.”
The VC said that organisations like Indian Big Data Industry are expected to expand their market in coming years and keeping the future demand and manpower requirements in view, GITAM has prepared a comprehensive syllabus to start the programme. He pointed out that there are very few universities in the world offering Business Analytics at UG level.
Accounting programmes at UG Level:
Prof. Subrahmanyam said that the Institute of Management has signed a MoU with CIMA in 2013 and ACCA in 2014 to offer BBA (Management Accounting) and BCom (Hons) which was accepted by more than 4,000 MNCs including India. The new UG programme BBA (Business Analytics) is a contemporary programme to train future human resource, he added.
