Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) Vice-Chancellor RGB Bhagavath Kumar said on Friday that the university will organise the second moot court competitions from March 6 to 8. Addressing a media conference here, he said the event will be based on broad theme of competition law in the present day with 34 teams representing premier law institutes from different cities taking part in it.

Visakhapatnam: Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) Vice-Chancellor RGB Bhagavath Kumar said on Friday that the university will organise the second moot court competitions from March 6 to 8. Addressing a media conference here, he said the event will be based on broad theme of competition law in the present day with 34 teams representing premier law institutes from different cities taking part in it.

Out of the 34 teams, eight will qualify for quarter finals and four for semifinals. In the finals, the two teams will be judged by sitting judge of the high court and practising Supreme Court lawyers and bureaucrats. Kumar said the moot court competitions are held to facilitate students in learning practical side of the law and the moot problem is also based on broad area of competition law.

However, students of DSNLU will not take part in the competitions as per rules. DSNLU also organised a round table meeting on issue of land problems in Andhra Pradesh. Secretaries of district legal service authorities, revenue officers, judges, academicians and others participated in it.
