Chennai: Great Lakes Institute of Management, a premier management institute in the country in collaboration with Great Learning, an online and blended learning platform, commenced its first batch of PGPM–Ex (Post Graduate Program in Management for Executives) at HSR Layout, Bangalore. Mr. Shripati Acharya,Co-Founder & Managing Partner - Prime Venture Partners was the honorable chief guest for the occasion.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the auspicious lamp in the august presence ofMr. Shripati Acharya,Co-Founder & Managing Partner - Prime Venture PartnersandMr. Mohan Lakhamraju, Vice-Chairman - Great Lakes Institute of Management.
Delivering the commencement address, Chief Guest, Mr. Shripati Acharya, Co-Founder & Managing Partner - Prime Venture Partners, said, “there are several transition points in life which occur frequently and these changes are strongly influenced by the chances we take and the decisions we make in day to day life”. Mr. Acharya also laid stress on the fact that our surrounding and environment have a huge impact on our lives, especially right people, and the right place.
Further, he stated, “If you hang out with smart people, chances are that you will grow smarter along with them. Chances and opportunities are rare yet crucial. Whenever you get an opportunity to work with good people, grab it. Luck plays an important role in our career. Although you can’t alter it, you can definitely increase the probability of it. Minimizing regrets would help you take wise decisions in life. It is easier to forget and move on from wrong decisions but not quite easy to live with the regrets”.
